The idea became public
MAG-LEV Audio introduced ML1 through Kickstarter, turning the levitating turntable from a private idea into a public object.
MAG-LEV Audio was created around a simple idea: playback should begin with a moment you can see before you hear it.
It is made to become the quiet centre of it —
a visible moment before the first note.
Not a louder object. A quieter beginning.

MAG-LEV Audio began in Ljubljana, where designers were listening to records and imagining what the record player of the future could become. The love of vinyl stayed at the centre — but the object around it was allowed to move forward.
The idea met engineering experience from people used to building complex systems. What followed was not a decoration around music, but a new starting sequence for it: the record is placed, the tonearm waits, and the platter rises into silence.
That moment became ML1.
ML1 began as an impossible-looking moment and became an object assembled, calibrated and lived with by owners around the world.

The project moved from campaign attention into engineering refinement, assembly decisions and real-world owner experience.
Audio press began looking past the floating platter and into playback, setup and listening performance.
ML1 continues in limited annual production, shaped by calibration, craft and private assistance rather than mass output.
Vinyl has always been about slowing down. ML1 makes that pause visible — the record is placed, the tonearm waits, and the platter rises before the first note begins.
This is not a feature. It is the reason ML1 exists.
ML1 was designed to be looked at as much as it is listened to — not as decoration, but as a quiet presence in the room.
More than 1,000 owners across 40+ countries.
International audio, design and technology coverage since 2016.
Every ML1 assembled by hand.
